If cultures remain destructive, antibiotic remedy is stopped. We suggest stepwise retraction on the drains when the cavity has collapsed as demonstrated on sonogram or CECT.In the event of additional or remnant collections the drain(s) can be upgraded to probably the most optimal diameter of 18 Fr or even more and extra drains might be positioned.
